DESCRIPTION
The stage, on the east side of Dora Baltea, extends over the morainic range that divides the Provinces of Turin and Vercelli. It is a pleasant ring of about 15 km around the town of Villareggia that also touches Moncrivello and Cigliano. Along the course there are some historical water derivation artifacts including the Naviglio di Ivrea Canal (XV century), the Mazzè dam, the water lifting system of Cigliano (XIX century) and the Depretis Canal; there are also many places of worship, among them San Martino Church, in Villareggia, and the Sanctuaries of the Blessed Virgin of Trompone and of the Madonna of Miralta, in Moncrivello.
