Located in the birth home of the historian Carlo Botta (1766-1837), the museum illustrates the life and agricultural and artisan activities of the past (this gave the name “our roots”) with work instruments, reconstructions of environments and clothing of that era. It is an important collection of documents regarding the material culture, among them, a curious “horn straightener” and 2 examples of the 19th century phono-stenographic machine of Antonio Michela, from San Giorgio, which is still used today, in an updated version, in the Italian parliament.
