DESCRIPTION
The walk leads to the hollow of glacial origin of Lake Pistono. Cobbled roads and ancient tracks wind along vineyards and through chestnut woods and offer many views of Montalto castle.
At the foot of the castle the course forks into the “Variante del Maggio” path, leading to one of the most interesting panoramic points of the Ivrea Morainic Amphitheatre. (30 min. - 0,6 km - 90 m elevation).
