PUMPKIN FESTIVAL - MEUGLIANO

The symbol of Meugliano is the Pumpkin.

In the past it was an area full of small cultivations thanks to its sunny position and abundant precipitations.

The pumpkins were farmed as a covering over manure-heaps, collected before frost, kept in barns or in stables and used during the Winter period as food for persons and animals.

The event takes place every year in October with the following program:

Friday: Bagnacaoda and musical evening.

Saturday: Musical cultural evening with dinner and pumpkin based products

Sunday: From 09:00 to 18:00 themed artisan products market. Starting at 12:00 tasting od typical pumpkin based typical dishes. Throughout the day, exhibits with pumpkins produced locally and entertainment.
