FESTIVAL OF THE MONTALTO DORA CABBAGE

In Montalto Dora, suggestive corner of the Morainic Amphitheatre of Ivrea (AMI) surrounded by morainic lakes, woods, hills and vineyards, every year the third week-end of November the traditional CABBAGE FESTIVAL takes place.

A showcase that gives value to the excellent products of the Morainic Amphitheatre: past and present, gastronomy, culture and local folklore alternate in rich events giving thousands of visitors emotions, d’antan atmosphere, authentic flavours of the country tradition and pieces of rural live.

During the event it is possible to browse among the rouses of Piedmont and Valle d’Aosta ingenuity and handcrafts, among the stalls of the market of antiques and used objects, make tasty purchases of organic p0 Km products and along the 2 Km of eno-gastronomic delicacies or watch folkore and musical shows.

Do not miss the naturalistic walk towards the Nero and the Pistono Lakes, typical lakes for the Morainic Amphitheatre of Ivrea, a unique landscape in Italy.

The "La NottedelleLanterne (Lantern Night)" has a strong scenographic impact, a themed pathway between mountain and valley which gives life to a great living nativity scene with representative scenes of country civilisation of the 20th century, with the sounds of the popular musica typical for that era, the Quintet.
